Since in Switzerland there is no such thing like "standard swiss german" it'd be nice to have the most common dialects: from Zurich, Bern, Chur, Wallis, Innerschwiiz and of course Engadin. Otherwise I fear, someone's always gonna be not satisfied with the translation.

The thing about the Swiss-German translation is that it should really be the same as the de-DE translation, considering that the written from of Swiss is proper German. This would also alleviate any problems with regional Swiss dialects.

In German:
Es ist unsinnig eine schweizerdeutsche Übersetzung anzufertigen. Es gibt zu viele Dialekte und es gibt keine Software die wirklich schweizerdeutsch ist!

Wir müssen das ganze auf Schriftdeutsch übersetzten.

Stimme ich absolut zu. Es macht absolut keinen Sinn, eine Schweizerdeutsch übersetzung zu erstellen. - Es ist macht es sowiso total unleserlich...

So why is there a Swiss-German lang pack anyway? It's totaly senseless! The only reason why anyone would want to install the package would be because he wants to add some dialect, to make it "sound" swiss.
I really think we should rather compromise on maybe Züridütsch than just write a copy of the DE package.
